Can Tizanidine, Promethazine, Propranolol, Tramadol And Topiramate Cause Delayed Menstruation?
Hello I m Ephraim I m a 20 yr old female. I weigh 163 I have been going to my doctor regularly for back aches and migraines and am on Tizanidine, Promethazine, propranolol, tramadol, and Topiramate. Now my period is supposed to be due any day now but I ve had none of the usual signs it will start soon and so I was wondering if any of these medications could cause my period to be late or not come? I m worried about it.

From the mentioned drugs, Tizanidine, Promethazine, Propranolol, Tramadol and Topiramate; the medication that is known to delay or cause missed menstrual period is Promethazine. In some of the clinical trials conducted, this drug was seen to cause these effects. However, the effect varies from person to person. While other drugs might have some effects like effect on the pain and blood flow, this one is associated as far as timings of the menstrual period are concerned.
