Iam an 83 year old type 2 diabetic who has been on Januvia 100 for a couple of years, and can no longer afford it. it went from 37 dollars a month to 327.00 per month. I was given the name of traedjenta by a pharmacist that said it is compareable. I would like any input. thank you Charles Simeral
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. The drug which you were taking before namely Januvia contains Sitagliptin. The drug suggested by pharmacist Tradjenta contains Linagliptin. Both the drugs belong to same group called Gliptin. Tradjenta is the latest addition to the group and said to be more efficient in controlling blood glucose levels. But, it is advisable to consult your treating physician for the change and proper dosage of new drug. Wish you good health.
