Can Tramadol And Ibuprofen Be Taken Instead Of Naproxen And Co Codamol For Spondyiolythesis?
I suffer with fibromyalgia for which I have Lyrica. I also have Spondyiolythesis for which I have co-codamol and naproxen which have very little effect waiting to see specialist again for possible operation. Can I take. Tramadol with ibuprofen. Instead of naproxen and co codamol. My sciatica nerve is very severe after having cortisone injections. Don t know what to do until I see specialist in june
Use Tramadol or Ibuprofen for pain relief. You can take NSAIDs like tab. Ibuprofen daily twice. You can take tab. Pantop 40 mg once daily before food to prevent gastric irritation. But if you have the underlying problems, you shouldn't take NSAIDs: 1) Bleeding problems 2) Kidney failure 3) Heart failure 4) Severe peptic ulcer
If you have any of the above problems, you can take tab. Tramadol twice daily.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Pallavi M., Anesthesiologist
