Sertraline is primary treatment for anxiety while alprazolam is like symptom specific drug . To maintain the drug level in body, sertraline should be taken once daily. So your current medicine is below effective dose.But in your case if you are getting relief with this low doses it is good thing. Side effects are very minimal at this doses,but it can occur. Secondly any medicine would be judged with its effect versus side effect. Although patient is in best position to judge it , I would suggest you to take consultation with psychiatrist, for better management of your symptoms.
