Can Tylenol And Hydrophone Be Taken Together?

I had knee replacement surgery 10 days ago and was prescribed both extra strength Tylenol and Hydrophone. I am currently taking only 8 extra strength Tylenol (1 every 3 hours) per day as the hydromorphone made me vomit. I would like to add the Hydrophone back to reduce pain,sleep without the 3 hour awakenings and allow me to increase my exercise level. What would an appropriate dosage of Hydrophone be? What would an appropriate reduction of Tylenol be?

Yes, hydromorphine and Tylenol can be taken together. The only problem with this combination is gastritis and vomiting. So in my opinion, you should take pantoprazole and domperidone combination twice daily on empty stomach to prevent vomiting. Take 100mg hydromorphine and Tylenol together. You will not need any painkiller for next 8-10 hours.Then after 8 hours take another hydromorphine and Tylenol combination. So adding hydromorphine will reduce your Tylenol dose.
