Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have just had an ultra sound and found out that I have bleeding inside of my uterus. I also was told that it shows a cyst on one of my ovaries, which I was told the ovaries are very small. The results of the ultra sound were very cloudy and was hard for them to read. My doctor said that I also have fibroid tumors and the uterine bleeding is keeping them from getting a good reading of the ultra sound. I have a lot of back and abdominal pain and have been prescribed a muscle relaxer, which is called Methocarbamol. I have been on Mobic for knee pain for quite some time and was told that I can also take Tylenol in addition to that. I am wondering if I can take the Tylenol safely along with the Methocarbanol? I have to go for an MRI a week from now to find out more about what is wrong. I was told that I can go back to work but it has been too painful for me to perform my job well. I thought that I would try to go back to work if I can also take Tylenol. Please give me an answer as soon as possible.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Tylenol is very safe drug , it does not have any major interaction with any drug, including Methacarbamol. So don't worry you can take Tylenol as needed 4 to 6 hourly to get some relief until your problem is solved.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
