Can Tylenol Be Given For Pain In Knees And Ankles For An 87-year-old?

Hello! My dad is an 87 y.o. taking Namenda, donepezil, Cerefolin, Sinemet, Myrbetriq, Combigan, and Flonase. He is not bedridden but sleeps most of the time; he is very unstable and does not walk well. He is extremely stooped. He frequently complains of being tired and occasionally has a bout of unresponsiveness during which he stares but cannot speak or move or follow commands (he had one yesterday). Two weeks ago he began to have swelling in his knees and ankles, especially on the left side. He is experiencing more than his usual amount of pain. I have had him elevate his legs and ice his joints but the pain is not relieved. His regular doctor is on vacation. Can I give him Tylenol for his pain? Thank you! Elise

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, if this is the pain most concern, what the history is given here it can be said that such pain could be due to some muscular condition, some time it may be due to age, and it can be managed with any NSAID (Non steroid ant-inflammatory drug) even with Tylenol, hope this information helps.
