Dear Chaithnya, Hi & Welcome.
Yes, Udiliv tablets can be taken during pregnancy.
Based on the history given, you seem to be suffering from
Cholestasis of pregnancy. It is a condition which impairs the flow of bile from the liver.
It occurs in the 2nd and 3rd trimester, and is characterized by itching and an elevation in serum bile acid concentration responsible for the development of itching, which may be intolerable.
You can take the prescribed medication Udiliv (
Ursodeoxycholic Acid) twice daily, it works by lowering the bile salts and is absolutely safe in pregnancy.
One tablet of Shelcal (
Calcium carbonate and
vitamin D3) can be taken twice daily. Since there's no harmful interaction between Shelcal and Udiliv, so they can be taken together.
There's no harm in taking egg while taking these medications but avoid eating the yolk of boiled egg as it contains
cholesterol.
Hope these answer your query.
A feedback is appreciated.
