Can Valium Causes Side Effects Like Wheezing And Coughing?

My husband as a bit of a chest cold and has been coughing/wheezing for a couple of days. He has not been taking meds - he is letting the cold "take it's course". Tonight he did take a half of a Valium for anxiety (his brother just passed away), and he sated that his wheezing seems to have become more obvious side the Valium ingestion. Does Valium cause wheezing to become more pronounced?

It is unlikely for valium as a drug to present worsening of wheezing and coughing. Unless he has an allergy to one of the ingredients used in manufacturing this drug, it is very unlikely. I will suggest that you look at the cause of this wheezing/coughing and make sure it is well managed before looking for other possible aggravating factors.
