Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Neurologist Q: I currently take verapamil ER 120 as a maintenance medication to prevent migraines. However my reproductive specialist doctor says I shouldn t take it while pregnant and so we haven t started IUI Tx yet. How do I get off this medication? I can no longer see the doctor who originally prescribed it so I will have to ask my PCP to manage the process. Thank you! - Renee
Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, if this is the pregnancy then not medicine is advisable particularly in organogenesis phase, if the medicine is extremely necessary then it need to be taken under close medical supervision and if possible avoid it in organogenesis phase, hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
