viacoram is a combination drug containing both amlodipne and perindropil, amlodipine is a calcium channel antagonist ,perindropil is a angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitor ,both of them are used to treat mild to moderate hypertension. they relaxes smooth muscles and reduces the cardiac work load .combination drugs have better efect on controlling hypertension .since new drug was prescribed by family physician take it and check bp after 2weeks.
