Can Vigamox Eye Drops Be Used For A Child?

Is vigamox safe to use on a 7 yr old? Both my husband and I had pink eye a couple of weeks ago and were prescribed vigamox. Now my 7 yr old is showing signs of the same thing in one of the eyes. The pediatrician is closed for the weekend and not available until Monday. Thank you for your help.
