Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Can Wafarin, Simvasstatin Causes Loss Of Voice And Head Congestion?
I take Wafarin, Simvasstatin, Propafenone and nMetoprolol Tartrate daily. Lately I have lost my voice for couple of days, followed by cough and lot s of head congrestion. Could any of these meds affect my temperature while not feeling. Have a new thermometer which could be faulty.
Your symptoms are suggestive of an upper respiratory tract infection or an allergic condition. The former is likely to be viral in origin and you may feel quite uncomfortable. Fever may or may not be present. You can check the temperature on a day you don't have symptoms and decide whether the thermometer is alright or not. The medicines you have mentioned are unlikely to be the cause of your symptoms. Do get back to me if you have further symptoms.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Noble Zachariah, Internal Medicine Specialist
