Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Clonidine is a medication that is used to treat
high blood pressure, attention deficit
hyperactivity disorder, anxiety disorders, migraine, menopausal flushing and certain pain conditions. Xanax is composed of 'Alprazolam', which is a potent, short-acting
benzodiazepine anxiolytic medication. Drug interactions between Conidine and Xanax is found to be moderate. Clonidine and Alprazolam may have additive effects in lowering your blood pressure. Hence, you may experience headache, dizziness,
lightheadedness, fainting, and/or changes in pulse or
heart rate. These side effects are most likely to be seen at the beginning of treatment. Hence, avoid driving or operating hazardous machinery until these medications are adjusted to your body's needs. Consult your doctor promptly if such symptoms become bothersome and doesn't subside.
Hope I have answered your query.
