Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hi,

Sodium valproate is a mood stabilizer and anti convalescent drug. The drug can cause some weight gain. Orlistat can be taken while on this drug and is safe to use, no need to get worried.

Another option is to think about Topiramate. Topiramate is a mood stabilizer and anti convalescent drug and is known to result in weight loss. You can talk with your doctor about this.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
