Can Zyrcold Be Given For Cold In A Child?

Hi Doctor , Is zyrcold an antibiotic syrup...? My 9mnth old son has caught cold for the past ten days... now its quite reduced but i giv zyrcold for tat gur gur sound from his chest ... Is it fyn to continue zyrcold as prescribed by my pead. thanks in advance...

As per your history is you are giving him Zyrcold.It is a cough medicine which contains (ambroxol) so add an antibiotic if bacterial infection present or take (antihitamine+cough+fever) in one syrup.While giving any antibiotics please compleate full course.Thanks
