Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I ve got a cat that us vaccinated, and she drank from a small place where I have water, but another cat from the street came and drank from the same place, so.. If my cat bites me after drinking of that place there is any chance of transmition of rabies?
Hello dear, welcome to Ask a doctor service. I reviewed your query and here is advise. Rabies is most often transmitted through a bite from an infected animal. Less frequently, it can be passed on when the saliva of an infected animal enters another animal's body through mucous membranes or an open, fresh wound. So you have less chances of getting rabies.
Hope I have answered the question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
