Can A Chicken Pox Patient Get Shingles?

I m confused about rather or not you can get shingles if already having the chicken pox. Below are contradictions about this subject. 1.Shingles is contagious those who have not had chickenpox. But instead of developing shingles, these people develop chickenpox. b2.Once they have had chickenpox, people cannot catch shingles (or contract the virus) from someone else. 3. Shingles is contagious to people who have not previously had chickenpox, 4. Anyone who s had chickenpox may develop shingles. mayo clinic 5. If you haven’t had chickenpox it’s possible to contract the varicella-zoster virus through contact with unscabbed shingles blisters. 6. Shingles can only spread to someone who has never had chickenpox. If the virus activates again, you get shingles. You can only get shingles if you’ve had chickenpox]

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

When a person gets the chicken pox virus and infection then later on in life they can get shingles.
Shingles shows up in persons who previously had chicken pox infection, the chicken pox virus remains in the system and then comes back as shingles.

When this person develops shingles years later, they can give someone (who has never had chicken pox), the virus. The same chicken pox virus, remember it is the chicken pox virus causing the shingles symptoms.

They cannot give it to someone who had chicken pox before because they are immune.

This is what the information is saying.

(1)shingles is contagious to persons WHO HAVE NOT had chicken pox. Because it is caused by the chicken pox virus, these persons will develop chicken pox when they come into contact with the blisters
(2)they do not 'catch' shingles- shingles comes years later after a person had chicken pox. Due to the virus remaining in the body
(3)Same as 1st statement
(4)As mentioned, once you had chicken pox at any time, you are at risk of developing shingles in the future
(5)and (6)same as 1

I hope this helps
