Can A Child Control Anal Muscles After Surgery For Imperforated Anus?

Hi, my son had imperforated anus and did the corrective operations when he was 4 months. Currently I am doing the dialation. I noticed that he always having constipation problem and currently under lactolose. My question is will he able to control the muscle in his anus in his later years. Thx a mill
