Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Can a deviated septum cause Ménière s disease or similar symptoms? I had a had injury as a 12 year old where I received hard trauma to my forehead which cause massive swelling to my eyes and nose. I believe this cause my deviated septum and not long afterwards I began to lose the hearing in my right year which was replaced by a constant buzzing and I offer had sever attacks of vertigo and sea sickness this was worse around 18 to 24 years I am now 31 and at time the noise in my ear is un bearable and was seeing if my deviated septum which is the deviated to thee right has caused the issues with my right ear. Cheers
Although the cause is unknown, Meniere’s disease probably results from an abnormality in the volume of fluid in the inner ear. Too much fluid may accumulate either due to excess production or inadequate absorption.
In some individuals, especially those with involvement of both ears, allergies or autoimmune disorders may play a role in producing Meniere’s disease.
So let me tell you that DNS (Deviated Nasal Septum) can not cause Meniere's disease. You are advised to see an ENT specialist if you are experiencing symptoms.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Prabhash Verma,
