Can A Ginseng Supplement Be Taken While On Diclofenac And Synthroid?
Many years ago I used to take Siberian Ginseng.I would like to take it again but I am now on prescription medications.I will have talked to my doctors but each one says something different. One says no the other says yes. I am on a seizure medication. The seizures were caused by medication, NOT by any thing else. However as a precaution the neurologist is keeping me on it. I am also on Diclofenac and synthyroid. My doctor that prescribes the last two says yes. Never mind. Not paying for this. Thanks anyway.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Until your stick to the right dose, there is nothing to suggest if there is any risk if you take all these drugs together. So don't worry, it is fine. However, the use of Diclofenac should always be restricted (used for pain relief) or used for minimum time. Its prolong use is not recommended.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Rahman
