Can A Grey Hair Patch In My Wife Pass On To My Son? What Should I Do?
Hi, I have noticed a grey hair on my 15 month old son. My wife, age 31 yrs, has a grey hair patch since she was 15 and she has been using hair colour since she was 23. I am worried that this has been passed on to my son. Can it be possible? What should I do?
I am sorry to hear about this gray hair. It actually runs in family. This means a child born of parents who developed a grey hair patch at an early age also have an increased risk of developing grey hair early in life. However, one is not enough to really say with certainty that it would develop to noticeable levels. I will suggest that you monitor to see the progression. In all honesty, there is actually nothing that can be done but to hide it by using a hair color if he's not comfortable with it.
I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thanks for using our services and hope this doesn't progress beyond this initial stage.
