Can A Hard Hit On The Head Lead To Vomiting Later On?
My son hit his head pretty hard at work 10 days ago and now is vomiting on and off for 5 days now has headache also .. Thought it was stomach e virus but now wonder whether it is related to hitting his head and should I take him to emergency room. Vomiting is spoadic
I think that a visit to the ER is clearly the best way to be safe because yes, at 10 days post traumatic head injury not all symptoms may show up immediately and so vomiting at 10 days after the incident is possible....though a bit unusual. Still, I believe it's always whether overcalling rather than undercalling situations since vomiting could be a sign of more serious intracranial abnormalities going on such as bleed, etc. If you have specific you'd like to ask me as a neurologist and TBI specialist for the VA Hospital System in Cleveland, Ohio then, please land on my page at: bit.ly/drdariushsaghafi and write me your question. Best to you and your son.
