Can A Hernia Surgery In The Testicle Possibly Cause Impotency?
Hello Doctor, I recently had hernia surgery in October 2015, I was told the hernia had moved down into my left teatical by the surgeon and that it made him work for his money that day due to extent of the hernia...everything is much better now...my question is, could a hernia operation cause an accidental reversal of a vasectomy? The reason for my question, as I have seen other s comment about this, is that a woman I was with after the surgery is now claiming she is pregnant...any information you can provide on this will be appreciated.
Thanks for asking at Healthcare Magic. I read your question and I understand your concern. There is no chance of vasectomy reversal after hernia surgery rather vasectomy is a documented complication. Apart from surgery, according to Royal college of Obstetricians and Gynecologists there is one in 4000 chance of spontaneous recanalization that is 0.025 percent. I would like to advise you if you have problem regarding her pregnancy, you can do paternity tests of baby to settle the issue. Hope it helps best.
