Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I was at a party last night, And I passed out and I guess I hit my head on the ground pretty good, And this morning I woke up with two decent sized bumps that almost form one knot the size of a tennis ball almost,on the direct back of my head that tend to feel like knots..could it be serious? should I take caution of it and get it checked out?
I reviewed your history. It seems from the history that you are having knot on the head following injury. My response to your question is as follows.
The knot on the head indicates hematoma and this not serious and it will resolve with cold compression and anti-inflammatory drugs. But if there are symptoms suggestive of head injury like severe headache, loss of consciousness, vomiting, nausea... then you need to consult your doctor for examination and treatment accordingly. Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for examination and treatment accordingly.
Hope this information is helpful to you. Do write back to me for any further questions and I will be happy to answer and assist you.
Thank you With regards
