Can A Medicine Containing Polyvinyl Alcohol Affect A Urine Analysis Report?
I took 4 tabs of daytime cold relief medicine containing polyvinyl alcohol over the span of 2 days, that was just over 4 days ago, and took a drug & alcohol UA today. It has been roughly 116 hours since I consumed the medicine. What is the potential of it causing a failed UA due to alcohol? Your feedback is much appreciated, thank you.

In a routine urine analysis, it may not be tested. It may be used as a food preservative also. Unless they used a specific test to detect it, there is a possibility, otherwise, no need to worry.
