Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Can A Painless Bump In The Ear Cause Hearing Loss?
I have a bump in my ear that doesn t hurt or itche, but before, skin was peeling off and it itched so I washed it out with an ear syringe and skin was showing in the water. I was stuffed up from allergies during this time. Now, I can barely hear out of this ear and skin in peeling in my other, please help.
I don't think hearing loss can happen because of an ear bump outside the ear. This can be just an infected but and using some ear drops like boric acid can help disinfect it. Also use acetaminophen for pain.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
