Can A Person With Laparotomy And 1 Ovary Removed Carry A Baby Full Term Safely?

Hi I had my right ovary removed 4 mths ago and had 2 regular periods 4 wks apart then next 1 was 5 wks later - it's 6 wks now and I just did a home pregnancy test and its positive - could this b wrong as we used condoms - if not I had laparotomy to remove my ovary - will I still b able to carry baby full term safely

Yes, it is very much possible to get pregnant and carry the baby safely upto full term with just one ovary.

Condoms have a high failure rate. So it is possible that you are pregnant. Please visit your doctor for confirmation and further manangement.
