Can A Person With Pulmonary Valve Regurgitation Take Regular Birth Control Pills ?

Can you take birth control if you have a deffective heart valve? Hi I m 17 and I have pulmonary valve regurgitation. I have been seeing a cardiologist reguarly since I was born. I went to get birth control and the doctor put me on pills with a lower estrogen dose because of the blood clot risk with regular estrogen dose pills. Would it be safe for me to be on regular dose pills?
