Had Unprotected Sex, Took Ipill. Was Having Irregular Periods. Now Spotting Of Brown Clotted Blood Seen. Pregnancy Test Negative. Suggestions?
Hello..... my wife and I had unprotected sex and I ejaculated in her. We took an ipill to prevent pregnancy. On may 19. She was having irregular menses 10 days after her regular menses that day. .... On may 24 we had unprotected sex but did not ejaculate in her. She took an ipill as a precaution on her way to office. Her menses usually start on the tenth. She hasn't had regular flow yet. Just droplets of brown clotted blood which started 10 days back but stopped now. Pregnancy test shows negative. Please advice.
Here, you need to undergo one blood test for beta-HCG and TVS scan to rule out possible conception or miscarriage. I-pill may also cause the same finding in association with hormonal imbalance or old endometrial tissue/ vaginal infection. Other factors like over weight loss, stress, irregular diet habit, thyroid problem etc., need to be ruled out. Please consult with gynecologist after initial tests to proceed other relevant investigations. Take suggestive measure accordingly. Take healthy diet, avoid stress, control body weight and use regular contraceptive pill instead of emergency pill.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
