Can A Pink Eye Turn Into A Staph Infection?

I was just informed by my daughter that what we thought was pinkeye might be a staph infection. Pinkeye started with my daughter s daughter in law. They took my 3 year great granddaughter to emergency where she was diagnosed with staph infection and not pink eye. We have all been to doctor and being treated for pinkeye. It has hit my grandson and his daughter the worse. I m also on medication for pinkeye. Can pinkeye turn into a staph infection?

Yes a staph infection can cause pink eye and a pink eye due to viral infection can have secondary staph infection too . I would advise you you to complete the course of the antibiotics .
