Can A Pregnancy Test Be Negative But I Still Miss My Period?
I m 2 weeks delayed. I ve tried pregnancy test 3 times. All negative. I m bothered why my menstruation got delayed this time. I m scared as i had contact with my bf couple of weeks ago. Please help. How do i initiate menstruation? Any way possible? Does this mean i m not pregnant? Or am i? Please advise. Thanks
Two weeks after the missed period, pregnancy test on urine is quite reliable. I would suggest you again to confirm by performing a pregnancy test on the OVERNIGHT FIRST morning urine sample since it contains high concentration of hCG hormone (which is tested in these tests).
If still the results are negative, you are not pregnant. If you have taken emergency contraceptive pills after the intercourse, they can delay the period.
If otherwise your periods are regular and they are delayed only this time, it could be due to the stress of unwanted pregnancy.
So after confirming your non-pregnant status, you may take Tab. Deviry for 5 days; 4-7 days after that you will get the withdrawal bleeding.
In order to avoid such stressful situations in future, I would advise you to adopt some reliable birth control practice like birth control pills, condom or intrauterine device.
I hope this helps you.
