Can A Proton Pump Inhibitor Like Prilosec Increase BP?
Can a Proton Pump Inhibitor like Prilosec increase Blood Pressure. I am 66 years old, have GERD and have been on Prilosec for about 2 months. Have seen average BP go up from 120/70 to 125/75 during this time. That isn t much but I don t like the trend. Opinion please

Sir proton pum inhibitor (ppi) generally doesn't rise blood pressure...n what you worried that your blood pressure 120/70 to 125/75..
Than I must told you that blood pressure is not fully constant measurement it continues fluctuating...what we measure is only one time blood pressure...not real time...n that much increase you can see within a day after sometime doing work also...if you are anxieous than yor blood pressure is somewhat increased...there are many factor that fluctuate blood pressure...so don't be too much anxious for that...untill your blood pressure measurement is too high to noticable n needs treatment
