Can A Pulled Muscle Cause Severe Pain In The RLQ Of The Abdomen While Coughing, Sneezing In A Bronchitic Patient?
I have been diagnosed with bronchitis and just finished up with 5 days treatment of predisone, was give albutoral inhaler and cough syrup. Yesterday, during my coughing I all of a sudden got a pain in my RLQ of the abdomen. this pain is severe during coughing, sneezing, and movement. Not sure if it is just a pulled muscle from the severe cough that I have had for 9 days or if it possibly a hernia. not sure if I should go back to the doctor with this or wait until the cough subsides and see if the pain goes away with the cough.
Hello, Your symptoms suggest that it indeed is a pulled muscle caused by severe bouts of cough. You need to take some anti inflammatory with a muscle relaxant. It is better to consult your doctor for confirmation of pulled muscle and the prescription of the medicine. Thanks
