Can A Retention Cyst In Right Sinus Cause Blood In Phlegm?

Hi I have been diagnosed with Retention cyst in the right maxillary sinus measuring 1.5 cm. I have been coughing for almost 3 months and took antibiotics . Recently I have been coughing blood with the mucus. Could that be from the cyst !! I took X-ray for the lungs and results were good. Thanks for your comments

Radiation Oncologist 's  Response
Hi,

Coughing blood with mucus definitely requires further evaluation, it may not be related to the cyst in your right maxilla. First of all, I would like to examine your nose and throat in detail and look for any obvious cause, also I would like to have a look at your voice box for the same. Depending on the clinical findings, things can be discussed further.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
