Can a sensitivity to latex and petroleum products cause leg cramping? I have had almost nightly severe cramping in legs, for a year. I spent 2 weeks sleeping on another bed and had no cramps. Our bed is a memory foam bed. 15 years ago I had severe weepy excema on my legs, the cause was found to be the egg crate mattress pad we were using. After a gastric bypass 4 years ago, I have had very little skin reaction to furniture and clothing, so I figured along with other health advantages of the surgery, that my reaction to petroleum and latex products was gone, too. But after experiencing two weeks of no night leg cramps I wonder if it is the bed causing them. I put a heavy polyester pad on the bed and the cramps are greatly reduced. Is this even a possibility that the bed is causing the cramps?
