Can A Sinus Infection Cause Vertigo?

I have been experiencing vertigo for the past few weeks and I am being treated with mecclazine. It works somewhat but I also have been expectorating a thick green mucous in the morning for no apparent reason. It clears up to opaque after a few hours and the quantity is slight. I do not have a fever, cough or head cold or chest cold. Is this some kind of sinus infection that could also be causing the vertigo ? Thank you
