Can A Vegetarian Diet Cause Weakness And Dizziness?

I recently became a vegetarian (about 1 month ago). After a week or so of no meat I came down with the flu. I didn t think much of it but my cold has maintained itself and has not seemed to lessen. I feel very weak and dizzy a lot of the time. I ve been feeling quite better today and yesterday but I still feel very weak and dizzy. Does this have anything to do with my diet? Is it bad for me to continue being a vegetarian?

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Vegetarian diet is not likely to be responsible for flu.
It may be a co-incidence that you are suffering from flu after discontinuation of non-vegetarian food.
I suggest you to take symptomatic treatment for flu from your primary healthcare provider along with some rest.

Thanks and take care
