Can Abnormal Blood Pressure Be The Cause Of Bad Headaches?

I have had a bad headache all day . Thought it might be my blood pressure so took readings 3x. Lowest was 161 over 111 and highest was 174 over 113. 2 months ago doctor noticed it was a little high and said keep an eye on it. I am a 49 year old female. Should I seek immediate help or can it wait till morning.

Hi,

First of all, you should take a drug immediately to control your blood pressure such as: Indapamide hemihydrate 2.5 mg on the morning on an empty stomach. After 30 minutes you can have your breakfast. Second, if you take oral contraceptive pills or a hormonal replacement therapy, you should ask a gynecologist for help.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
