Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have bad acid reflux causing my voice to go high, stomach bloating and some asthma. I also get a sudden tighness in what feels like my esophogus. This flutter last 1 or 2 seconds and kind of takes my breath away. I have had this flutter of and on for years. My cardologist does not think the flutter is related to my heart. Can acid reflux be causing this flutter ? What can be done to minimize it? Thanks.
Your symptoms may indicate angina/acid reflux etc.It is important to know your age. It is important to exclude cardiopulmonary causes. You may need clinical examination and investigations like routine hemogram, random blood sugar, liver function test, renal function test, lipid profile, chest X-ray (PA view),ECG in all leads,TMT,ECHO,ultrasound of abdomen, upper GI endoscopy.
You may need regular treatment for reflux depending upon findings.
Proper treatment depend upon findings.
