Hi, Let me tell few things about adenoids first, before discussing about treatment, adenoids are lymphatic tissue located at the junction of nose and throat, when it enlarges due to infection it will prevent drainage of nasal secretions, that is the reason for nasal discharge, sometimes when it gets infected it also acts as source of infection affecting childa growth, it can also cause ear problems, it has no capacity to grow back, if not removed completely during surgery remaining adenoids may enlarges, nasal spray will only limit present episode, its not the cure, I suggest you to opt for surgery.
