Can Administration Of Propofol While On Methadone Cause Symptoms Of Narcotic Withdrawal?
I recently had a procedure where propofol was administered. Additionally, I m on 120 mg. of methadone daily. Shortly after I awoke I felt some symptoms of narcotic withdrawal; high level of anxiety, nausea and vomiting, chills and involuntary muscle movement. Is there any research that supports this?

There is no documented evidence of such withdrawal symptoms however, taking propofol while on methadone may have increased effects on breathing, heart rate, blood pressure, and sedation.
