Can Am Untreated Shoulder Injury Cause Chest Pain?

Hello, I have a friend who has had a shoulder injury, that hasn't been surgically corrected, nor do I know if she plans to do so, but I was wondering if a shoulder injury could cause chest pain? She told me recently that in the mornings for the last couple weeks, she wakes up with pain in her chest, right above her heart, and I wasn't sure if this could be from her shoulder injury? Thank you.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Shoulder injury can cause chest pain because at the time injury there might be having stretching and damage of shoulder muscles as well as chest muscles and even fracture of one or two ribs.
If during that time no investigation like x-ray or doctor's examination is done all these can be left untreated might caused this problem.
Consult your doctor and get examined.
Ok and take care.
