Can An X Ray Result Showing Shadow On Lung While Suffering From Bronchitis Suggest Cancer?
lately have been down with Bronchitis. Dr did x-ray, radiologist said see's a shadow on the top of the right lung. Had a second x-ray done from a different angle and still the radiologist see's this shadow. Since several different cancets run in my family I thought it prudent to get the CT Scan. When i arrive the Technician was quite puzzled to learn this wb without contrast as she told me a contrast is all ways used for this sort of thing. After she confired with the doctor or doctors she came back and just did the Scan W/O contrast. Can i trust this result?
Since your x ray is showing shadow in right lung i will suggest u to do CT scan of chest with contrast as this will give clear picture if there is any space occupying lesion in the lungs. If they find anything then biopsy has to be done from the SOL specimen to rule out malignancy.
