Can An Abscess Damage A Nerve Leading To Leg Pain?

Hello I had an appendectomy a few months ago and the surgery went well until 2 months later I found out I had an abscess that was the size of an orange. When I first noticed it started hurting my right leg also started to hurt. My lower right back, my hip, and my thigh all hurt so bad I couldn't walk, sit or even lay down. I got it drained and I was feeling better after they removed the tube. 3 days later my right leg started to hurt again. Do you think the abscess could have damaged a nerve? Also I have a white bump on my appendectomy incision and it's a bit swollen it looks like.

Hello,

It is not the abscess, but the procedure of drainage; that may have damaged nerve giving leg pain.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
