I am dignoed with typhi 1:80, my physician says I am not having typhoid S TYPHI o Positive (1:80 dilution) S TYPHI H POSITIVE (1:80 dilution ) S Para Typhi A H Negative (1:20 dilution) S Para Typhi B H Negative (1:20 dilution) My email : YYYY@YYYY

Hello and welcome to HCM,
The typhoid test is done for two antigens- 'O' and 'H'.
The test for these two antigens is reported as titres in serial dilutions.
The test is read as positive if the titres are above 1:80 and there is four fold increase in titres over period of time.
The test results are 1:20 titres for antigen H and 1:80 for antigen O.
The titres for antigen H is negative.
The titres for antigen O are significant only if the titres increase over a period of time.
The titres may become negative for typhoid if you have taken antibiotics before undertaking the test.
