I have been experiencing severe leg/thigh pain for several weeks that is unresponsive to analgesics, and for approximately two weeks have experienced a possible UTI/bladder infection, with cloudy urine, pain upon urination and overall weakness and fatigue. Are the two related; can a UTI cause leg pain this intense?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
The thigh pain seems due to underlying pyrexia from urinary infection. Guidelines for fast recovery :
- Drink more liquids. - Get a urine culture report and prescription of antibiotics accordingly. - Consume balanced nutritious diet. - Be in regular follow up with your consultant.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
