Hi,I am Dr. Andrew Rynne (Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My mother (we are Pakistani, in Pakistan) is 76 years old has diabetes, hypertension and heart disease. She was checked in to emergency 4 days ago with severe angina pain. Doctors determined she suffered a heart attack. THey are treating her with numerous medications. They have suggested an angiography immediately however they also showed us a report of her kidney functions (creatinine report) and show them to be at 1.8 (reports attached). Doctors say angiography could result in kidney failure?? These doctors are junior doctors as no senior docs are available. SHould we consider an MRI Angiography as opposed to a traditional angiography?? Please any advice or information on these procedures would help us. Mom is quite elderly, has suffered for years from these conditions.
