Hi Doctors! I have HP bacteria in my stomach and I tried therapy with antibiotics but it gave me hard time and I gave up. Now my symptoms not too bad. I have been visited naturopath doctor and she told me if I use properly ratio of food that can keep HP down . I wondering, does HP can affect others organs like liver and create other problem? Also, I would like to know, If I decide to take antibiotics again to kill HP bacteria, Will that bacteria resist to antibiotics because I have already used before but not finish my cure?
I have gone through your query & can understanding your concern.
Helicobacter pylori is a bacteria found in stomach. It has role in causing gastritis, peptic ulcers & other diseases of stomach & upper part of intestine. However this bacteria is not present elsewhere in body & doesn't cause any disease elsewhere. Treatment consist of proton pump inhibitors such as omeprazole or rabeprazole and the antibiotics like metronidazole, clarithromycin, etc. Ingesting lactic acid bacteria exerts a suppressive effect on H. pylori infection Once H. pylori is detected in a person with a peptic ulcer, the normal procedure is to eradicate it and allow the ulcer to heal. You should continue the antibiotics as long as your physician wants.
Hope your concern has been resolved. Good luck
