Can Antibiotics For Fever Be Taken Along With Multaq?

HI Doc, I take so many Meds now and having low temp today with a bad head cold, My main concern is whether I can take an antibiotic with Multaq, which I take for a-Fib. I also take Dilantin for preventive of seizures and blood pressure medicine, and some others. I will probably go to my Doc tomorrow if I still have temp .

Hello,

You should know that Multaq may interact with some antibiotics like clarithromycin, erythromycin, a Rifadin, rifampicin.

I suggest meeting your doctor if you will continue to have fever more than 3-4 days.
